Community and Vocational Services
Program for 2009-2010
During the coming year our proposed program will include the following:
We will continue to host Senior Citizens to the Operatic show at the MacRobert Arts Centre, followed by High Tea at the Golden Lion Hotel. We will also be looking at firming up an early visit to Loch Katrine again for Senior Citizens.
We will continue to provide minibus drivers for the Arion Project so that disadvantaged residents can enjoy weekly swimming at The Peak, Stirling Sports Village.
Previous Program
This committee works with local partners to deliver practical help to local projects. For example, during the year 2008/09, we provided 40 Hospital Help packs which Stirling Royal Infirmary issued on our behalf to discharged patients.
We provide minibus drivers for the Arion Project so that disadvantaged residents can enjoy weekly swimming at The Peak, Stirling Sports Village. In March 2009 we hosted a party of some 20 senior citizens to the theatre show at the MacRobert Arts Centre, followed by tea in the Golden Lion Hotel.
Club visits during 2008/09 included the new Forth road bridge at Kincardine, the Sports Village at Forthbank, Robert Graham's Dairy and the Royal Bank of Scotland HQ at Gogarburn, Edinburgh.
